Oz Lotto $30 million jackpot won in Queensland
Someone has won $30 million in last night’s Lotto and probably doesn’t even know it. The lucky ticket holder was the only division one entry for last night’s Oz Lotto draw 1229. It is an unregistered entry bought on Queensland’s Fraser Coast in the last five days. The winner will join the region’s list of new millionaires. A retired Hervey Bay woman won $1.6 million in the Saturday Gold Lotto $20 Million Superdraw.
Fraser Coast region also holds the record for having sold Australia’s single biggest individual lottery win. In January 2016, Hervey Bay grandparents won the $70 million division one Powerball jackpot prize.
Golden Casket spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eagerly waiting for the newest multi-millionaire to make contact so the prize claim process can begin. “It’s hard to believe, but someone out there woke up this morning a multi-millionaire — but they may not know it yet!” he said.
The winning numbers were 16, 45, 4, 35, 8, 28 and 27, with the supplementary numbers were 22 and 34.
About the Oz Lotto
Introduced on 26 February 1994 by Tatts Group, Oz Lotto is a national lottery game. It is administered by ‘the Lotto’ in all-Australian States except for Western Australia, where the lottery is administered by Lotterywest. It holds the record for the largest Australian lotto jackpot prize. Four lucky winners shared the jackpot prize of AU$111,972,151.04 in the draw on 6 November 2012.
The draw takes place once a week every Tuesday. The time of the draw 20:00hrs AEST. AUD $2 Million is the minimum Jackpot.
To win the jackpot, you must match seven main numbers. During the draw, two supplementary numbers are drawn in addition to the seven main numbers. These supplementary numbers are significant for Prize Category 2, 4 and 7 only. The Oz Lotto is new on Welovelotto, but has already become one of our members favourite Lottery games.
