EuroMillions Largest Jackpot Won In UK
The massive EuroMillions £170m jackpot has been won in full by a UK player. The ticket-holder is now UK’s biggest ever lottery winner.
The build-up to this Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw has been highly anticipated by players all across the globe. The massive jackpot of £170 million has final been won by a single UK winner. Consequently, this jackpot is the biggest the UK has ever seen.
The jackpot was a ‘must win’ since the draw hit its maximum payout. Moreover, this has happened for only the fourth time in history. The jackpot rolled over an astounding 22 times. It first reached the maximum prize fund of £170m (€190m) on 24th September 2019.
The lucky winner matched all five numbers – 07, 10, 15, 44, 49 – and two lucky stars – 03, 12 – in Tuesday’s draw. Additionally, the winner is set to receive support and guidance to help manage this massive sum of money.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “One incredibly lucky ticket-holder has scooped tonight’s enormous £170m EuroMillions jackpot.”
The winner has yet to be identified and it is unknown whether the ticket-holder is an individual, a family or a syndicate. According to the BBC, if the winner is a single person, they would fall under the top 1,000 wealthiest people living in the UK.
Furthermore, funds from the previous draws have been added to lower tiered winners. Therefore, this means there was a larger change to win higher prizes.
