Changes to EuroMillions in 2016
Several changes took placebo EuroMillions at the end of September of this year that affect how you play the game. Overall the game is played in the same manner but there are some noticeable differences. Probably the best news is that there will be bigger jackpots more often. That should inspire you to play for a chance to change your life forever.
Here are a few of the changes overall:
- Starting jackpots increased from €15 million to €17 million
- Superdraw jackpots increased from €100 million to €130 million
- 12 Lucky Stars to choose from (there were only 11 lucky stars before the change)
- Ticket price increased when purchasing from local retailer
- Bigger rolling jackpots
- Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday
The jackpot cap for EuroMillions will stay at €190 million, but instead of only allowing the top prize to remain at the cap for just one draw before it must be won, the jackpot is now allowed to stay at that increased amount for four draws before it must either be won or roll down to be shared among winners in the next highest prize tier. That’s exciting news!
There is somewhat of a downside to the changes because of how they affect the odds of winning the jackpot. Prior to the changes the odds of winning the jackpot were in the neighborhood of one in seventeen million to one. Since the changes took place, the odds of winning the jackpot have climbed to nearly one in one-hundred-forty million for your shot at making your dreams come true. That’s quite a jump to say the least. But it won’t stop many punters from continuing to play online at Welovetto. The idea of bigger jackpots more often outweighs the lop sided odds.
While I may not like some of the changes myself, I will continue to try my luck at winning the jackpot.
