A lucky ticket holder has won the biggest lottery jackpot ever to be seen in history. The winner has bagged a massive $2.04 billion from the latest US Powerball draw.

The biggest lottery prize in history has been won at a staggering $2.04 billion from the US Powerball’s latest draw. The winner purchased the ticket in California from Joe’s Service Center in Altadena, Los Angeles and is still yet to claim the prize.

This unusually large prize was a consequence of the US Powerball rolling over for three months. Consequently, the prize built-up to a huge amount. There were no jackpot winners for 39 consecutive draws.

Although no one has claimed the prize as of yet, there is still time. Player’s who bought their ticket at Joe’s will, therefore, need to double check their tickets. As a result of this huge jackpot, the winner will become an instant billionaire. According to the Forbes billionaires list, the winner will immediately be placed into the top 1300 richest people on the planet.

Florida Lottery studios draw the numbers in Tallahassee. The winning numbers included white balls 10, 33, 41, 47 and 56, with the red Powerball being 10.

Three Powerball players across California, Florida and Tennessee won the previous jackpot record of $1.586bn in 2016. Obviously, the latest draw blew this out the water. The Multi-State Lottery Association scheduled the draw to take place on Monday 7th November. However, they delayed the draw until Tuesday 8th November due to issues processing sales.
Only four other prizes have been above $1 billion, but none of those is even close to this latest win.
